If I were a betting man...

I would put my money on this:

In two weeks, the biggest swerve in professional wrestling since Hulk Hogan joined the nWo will take place.

In two weeks, there is going to be a one time only pay-per-view reunion of Extreme Championship Wrestling. The advertisements have been playing on television, the matches are being shown on every website devoted to professional wrestling. It's even becoming a storyline on both WWE shows, with both Eric Bischoff and Kurt Angle recruiting people to go to the ECW show and cause trouble.

But nobody has said anything about what is going to happen. That is, until now.

I believe that this is not going to be a one time only deal.

I believe Bischoff will instruct his group to enter the ring near the end of the night to cause trouble, but instead of fighting, hands will be extended in friendship. Bischoff will shake Paul Heyman's hand and the two will announce the return of Extreme Championship Wrestling. Angle's group will be beaten to a pulp and sent back to WWE-land and the Monday Night Wars will return. ECW will have Bischoff as a money man and Heyman as booker and promoter.

Of course, it will all fail.

With Vince McMahon at the helm, it won't truly be ECW. And so, after a few months of bad ratings, Vince can kill it off and fire both Heyman and Bischoff and claim his place as the only man with wrestling on television.

Bah. Maybe it won't happen. But if it does, remember nobody has said it before... :)

Yes, it is. But Vince would never cancel his Monday and Thursday shows. Anything else would be fair game.

Something funny about their ratings. Two weeks without HHH, the ratings went up to the highest they've been in years. He came back, and the ratings dropped again.

See a pattern?
