hitting a new low...

Yesterday in the House of Commons, the Conservatives hit a new low. They claimed that the Liberal government is delaying a vote on the budget so that two of their members, who happen to be stricken with cancer, will become too sick to attend the vote. This is disgusting.

But it's nothing new.

The Conservative party has tried to claim that the Prime Minister and the Liberals support child pornography. In fact, when local Member of Parliament Anthony Rota was running for his seat, someone asked him if he supported child pornography. Rota quickly dismissed him.

This is a party that wants power so badly they've aligned themselves with a party that wants to tear the country apart.

By some miracle, I hope that if there is an election, the NDP gets into power. Every other party needs to be dismantled.

In other news...some guy flew a Cessna into restricted airspace. I don't think it was by accident. I think it was done to keep the nation believing that they're under a terrorist threat at any time in any place. They will continue to pick at the scab until it bleeds, just so they can prove they've been wounded. No wonder people refer to it as the Excited States of America.

The new low I was referring to was the suggestion that the Liberals were delaying the vote due to the two members who have cancer. I was once told that a person with a disability or an illness should always strive to overcome obstacles, not use it as a way to say "I can't do that".

I'm not a fan of the Liberal party. I've seen a lot of things go wrong with them. The constant pandering to the province of Quebec, for example. There are jobs required all over the country, but the most lucrative contracts always seem to go to Quebec. The HRDC and Gun Registry problems were very expensive.

I definitely don't want the Conservatives in power. I've never trusted their style of government.

That leaves us with the Bloc and the New Democrats. The Bloc are only interested in two things: Quebec and Quebec. And the NDP has taken some bad hits on the provincial level that nobody seems to want to trust them on the federal level.

Yet we have no problem sending either of the two "major" parties to Ottawa to run the show.

The budget vote should have taken place last week. I will agree with you on that.

There will be no miracle.
No Doug Flutie Hail Mary pass.
No Gretzky to Lemieux pass and goal.
No Joe Carter home run.

We're all screwed.

" what, some miracle is going to occur over the next 7 days and save their party"

They may have gotten their miracle today. Belinda Stronach crossed the floor and joined them.
