200' x 85'+cold = freedom

I went skating on the weekend. First time in a year, and second time in the last 7 years I've been able to go. It's amazing what strapping a few steel blades to the bottom of your feet can do. It gives you what could possibly be the closest feeling of freedom one could have. I've driven a car and I've been just about everywhere on a bike, but nothing comes close to skating.
It was the first time my children have ever gone skating. They did pretty well for their first go. A few bumps and falls, and some help from us to keep them upright, but they had fun and can't wait to go again.
I need to build a rink in the backyard now...
